Omar is the Managing Director at Ogal Consulting. He oversees Ogal’s industrial development projects in Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, and Ethiopia. He also supports foundations, development agencies, and governments in strategic planning, program design, and evaluation.
ensuring effective engagement with government representatives and effective coordination with program partners. He ensures the effective integration of the work undertaken by program staff, including program management, delivery, coordination, human resources, consultants, monitoring, and evaluation.
Omar provides technical support to the project managers through hands-on guidance, development, and implementation. Omar manages all project planning responsibilities, including the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and quarterly work plans. Omar also guides and oversees the alignment of the budget to expected results and reviews and approves annual budgets.
Omar was a national consultant, regional coordinator, survery supervisor, and senior researcher across South-Central Somalia for national and international NGOs, including Altai Consulting, Tusmo Research & Consulting, the Somali Association for Rehabilitation and Development (SARD) and ACTED. He supervised major assessments for a wide variety of humanitarian and development programs. He has also developed an extensive network of experienced professional researchers that reaches out to each Somali region. Omar holds a MBA (Project Management) from Kenyatta University.

Abdifatah Abdikadir Hirsi is an accomplished Business Development Manager at Ogal Consulting, bringing over 15 years of extensive experience in humanitarian aid, project management, and economic security. His career has been marked by a profound commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable populations across Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Libya, and Sudan. Abdifatah holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid from KALU Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Mount Kenya University. His educational background is complemented by a series of specialized short courses in research methodologies, humanitarian negotiation, and project implementation.
In his current role at Ogal Consulting, Abdifatah leverages his expertise in project management and strategic planning to drive business growth and foster partnerships. He is adept at identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the consulting industry. A skilled communicator and team leader, Abdifatah is fluent in English, Kiswahili, and Somali, enabling him to connect with diverse stakeholders effectively. His proficiency in data analysis and software tools further enhances his ability to provide insightful solutions tailored to client needs. Michela Cerruti is an accomplished Gender Sociologist and human rights expert based in Venice, Italy, with extensive experience in conducting impact assessments and promoting gender equality and human rights across various contexts. Currently, she serves as a consultant and project leader for several organizations, including Deloitte and UNDP, where she manages human rights impact assessments and gender sensitivity evaluations, particularly in conflict-affected regions such as Syria.
With a strong commitment to ethical conduct and accountability, Michela has led numerous projects focused on the empowerment of local communities, indigenous peoples, and marginalized groups. Her expertise extends to training field researchers and moderators, ensuring their adherence to best practices in research methodologies that prioritize respondent well-being.
Michela holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Advanced Studies in International Strategy and Leadership from the Graduate Institute in Geneva and a Bachelor’s degree in the History and Law of Arab Countries from Cà Foscari University. She has published scholarly articles on gender and media, female activism, and human rights issues, reflecting her active engagement in both academia and policy-making.
Fluent in Italian and English, with proficiency in French, Arabic, and Spanish, Michela effectively communicates across cultural boundaries. Her advocacy work includes collaborating with NGOs like UNRWA and UNHCR, focusing on refugee women’s rights. Known for her analytical skills and leadership qualities, Michela Cerruti is a dedicated advocate for social justice and equality, continually striving to amplify marginalized voices in her work.

Harsley excels in facilitating learning sessions, coordinating programs and people, and fostering strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
His core expertise spans evaluation policy design, project management, qualitative and quantitative research, data collection and analysis, proposal writing, quality assurance, and operational excellence with a human-centered design approach. Harsley is recognized for creating innovative solutions, engaging facilitation, and building professional relationships with partners, collaborators, senior management, and leadership teams.
Throughout his career, Harsley has held senior roles, including leading strategic M&E functions, managing programs, mobilizing resources, and overseeing quality assurance across organizations such as Somali Lifeline Organization, Afyafrika Kenya, Hand in Hand Eastern Africa, and Options Consultancy Services. He has extensive experience managing MEAL systems, coordinating baseline, midline, and end-term evaluations, and mentoring M&E staff.
Harsley’s consultancy experience includes baseline surveys, strategic advocacy, training on results-based management, and developing policies and strategies across sectors such as health, gender equality, disability inclusion, and youth empowerment. He holds a Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, and certifications in biostatistics, disaster management, and statistics.
Known for his strategic and analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in dynamic and complex environments, Harsley is a highly motivated team player dedicated to delivering high-quality, impactful results. He is fluent in articulating data insights through compelling reports and presentations, supporting evidence-based decision-making and continuous learning.

Peter’s career began as a Technical Expert at the World Bank, where he contributed his expertise in qualitative analysis to various projects. His role involved conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to inform policy decisions and program implementation.
He then served as a Senior Analyst at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), where he played a key role in analyzing qualitative data related to refugee populations. Peter’s work involved assessing the socio-economic impact of displacement and developing strategies for improving the well-being of refugees. Further expanding his expertise, Peter worked as a Senior Analyst at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). In this capacity, he applied his analytical skills to assess investment opportunities and evaluate the impact of IFC’s projects on local economies and communities.
Peter’s extensive experience also includes working as a Senior Analyst at Altai Consulting, where he provided valuable insights and analysis to support development projects in emerging markets.
